First Presbyterian has a long-standing reputation of graduating children who are Kindergarten ready. Our philosophy focuses on the whole child through social and emotional development coupled with differentiated instruction to meet each child’s academic engagement.
Our program pathways were chosen to create same age peer groups to allow our teachers to scaffold learning that will make sense for the developmental age of the child. So, while some children may turn 3 or 4 in January and others will turn 3 or 4 closer to September/December, the teachers can focus on and develop certain skills that follow the educational journey of each child in their age group.
Exceptions will not be made for cut off dates.
