Over the past five decades the leadership at First Presbyterian Preschool has continually sought to create learning environments that meet the needs of children based on their age and developmental stage. The four class options are optimized to keep student to teacher ratios lower than most area preschools while grouping our children with their closest-matched peers to produce fun, safe, and engaging classrooms. Our preschool has a program for everyone with classes starting as young as 2.5 years old through our unique Odyssey program design specifically for children who miss the kindergarten cut-off.
The class information below is for our 2024-2025 school year; tuition and daily schedule is a reflection from the current year and is subject to change. You can view the different class pathways to Kindergarten here.

Weekly Specials
- Art Appreciation – Sue Peecher has a degree in Education from Michigan State and will make art come alive to our children through engaging presentations that culminates in a field trip to the Art Institute of Chicago for our older classes and their parents.
- Music – Ami Crawford presents 30 minute weekly music exploration activities for each individual class. Ami introduces tone, timbre, rhythm and notation using songs, dances and instruments accompanied by guitar and voice. Great fun!
- Faithbuilding – Every week each class has a 15 minute ecumenical presentation introducing children to God and prayer through age-appropriate stories, music and drama.
